North America Shipments

NA Tracking

Hello dear Backers!

I just wanted to answer a question I've received multiple times in the comments.

YES, There are tracking numbers for all shipments sent to backers from North America.

You should receive your designated tracking number by email as soon as your parcel has been processed by the delivery company.

Games are being shipped as I'm writing this and as I have seen, most backers in Europe have already received their games.

Thank you for your patience.

The ships have FINALLY landed!
almost 3 years ago – Wed, Apr 28, 2021 at 10:09:07 PM

All games are ready to be sent out to you!

Great news everyone!

I just got news from both fulfillment centers in the US (for north America) and Germany (for the rest of the world) that the games have arrived on Monday and been processed yesterday!

This means that they will be sending out the games to you starting Monday!

Depending on where you live and how your country's postal service is handling the current situation, you should receive your game next week, or at the latest the week after.

I am so relieved to finally be at this point and to have the freight shipping issue behind us.

System error sent out wrong email statements

Some of you (Backers receiving your game from Germany) have received an email stating what you'll receive and that has lead to confusion. I can assure you, that issue has been fixed. There was a mistake in the system that shifted the items, so it stated you'd get the extra dice instead of the game.

I have been assured that you should've gotten a second email with the correct information. Please disregard the first and I apologize for the confusion.

So with this I am glad to finally be at the point of the campaign where we are mere days away from getting the games into your hands!!!

Thank you all for your continued patience and support!

State of shipments
about 3 years ago – Tue, Apr 13, 2021 at 03:50:48 PM

Thank you for your patience

So good news first:

Games to Backers in Switzerland and the UK have been shipped and most have already received them. The feedback so far has been all just amazingly positive. I am incredibly grateful for your kind messages.

If you know others who would like to get their copy of the game:

Ask your Local Game Store if they would like to sell it to you. During the pandemic, a lot of LGSs have lost revenue, and I would prefer to involve them and have them get a cut rather than selling them directly online. Just have them send me an email at [email protected]

Where are the games for Europe/North America?

Latest update that I received regarding games headed to North America:

The Games were finally loaded and left Yantian Port on March 31. They are expected to arrive at the destination port in the US tomorrow on April 12, and the fulfillment center is estimated to receive them before April 20. Depending on the workload of the fulfillment center, it could take about a week for them to pack and ship them out to you. I don't know the exact delivery time your boxes will have from Florida to you, but all is set up and ready to go.

Latest update that I received regarding games headed to Europe:

The Germany cargo has been received in Alashankou, where they got loaded on the railroad headed to Germany. The reasoning behind them getting shipped by railroad is, that Europe ports still have a massive backlog and present a bottleneck for shipments. Shipping by train turns out to be better and faster than having the risk of the games getting to port and getting backlogged. So although usually slower than by sea, the games are expected to arrive at the destination station on April 23, and the fulfillment center is scheduled to have them before May 18. Same as with the fulfillment center in the US, depending on their workload, it will also take up about a week for them to pack and ship your games from Germany.

FAQ/sidenote: QR-Code on Box doesn't work

Yes, the QR-Code on the back of the box doesn't work anymore. I am quite upset at the company that "sold" the code to me, because as it turns out, they hold the rights to the code and I would have to lease the usage on a monthly basis and by scans from them. I made the mistake by thinking it was like buying a regular barcode. You pay once, you get the rights to use it. But they basically generate a QR-Code linked to their website, which will reroute to the url I provided. So at any point, they could up the price, cancel or misuse the QR-Code. It feels like extortion in a way and I will not use QR-Codes on my games moving forward. I'm sorry for the confusion and am annoyed that it tarnishes the quality of the game.

So that's all news I have for you at the moment. I hope you are all well and staying safe.

I apologize again for these massive delays. I wish I could change the situation, but the whole world is clogged up with shipments.

I hope you understand and I will update you as soon as I have more updates on the slower shipments.

If you have any questions or concerns, you are always welcome to send me a message.

Backers from the rest of the World:

I have yet to receive an update from the shipping company. I know it's on its way, but I don't know how long it's still going to take. I'm sorry that I don't have any better news for you.

If you have any questions, send me a message or comment here. I^ll try to get to you as soon as possible with a solution.

Longboat fun fact (and shipping update)
about 3 years ago – Wed, Mar 24, 2021 at 12:14:32 AM

The longboats have left the docks!

Finally some definitive good news!

All games for the UK and Switzerland have confirmed through Tracking to be on route!

Although I have confirmation that the same is the case for the US and Germany (rest of the world), I haven't gotten any written proof from the logistics companies yet. But I'm 99% sure that will happen within the next day or two.

So when do I get my game?

Getting something shipped across the world in larger quantities during a Pandemic is full of bottlenecks and favoritism. Luckily, many of my cargo (especially since it's multiple small ones) can be a +1 on certain shipments. It was this issue to latch on to larger shipments that finally let us get in front of the line.

Once the games have arrived at the four distribution points (my Workshop in Switzerland, my friend and distributor in the UK, as well as the two international and larger fulfillment centers: Quartermaster Logistics/CoolStuffInc in the U.S. and HappyShops in Germany), well get to sending out your games as fast as possible.

The Swiss and UK games will be managed to ship faster, since it's an in-house-operation. Unfortunately will it take more time for the two fulfillment centers, because the shipping ports have a high backlog. In addition, the fulfillment centers have other business as well to manage (i.e. first come first serve).

Disclaimer: Even though I'm super stoked there is finally some concrete proof from the logistics companies, I will not make any predictions on the time frame at this point. There are too many variables and possible setbacks that are out of my hands.

Longboat fun fact:

A typical Norse longboat would have an average speed of 8 knots. Therefore it could've taken the Norse between 30 to 40 days to sail from Shenzen to each of our four ports in Germany, UK and the US. Columbus' ships only averaged 4 knots. And some say Valheim sailing is fast

I hope I could put your minds at ease and I will update you as soon as I have any news.
